Santa Cruz Municipal Agriculture
These initiatives aim to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure food security in the community. As written on (Municipal Agriculture office Santa Cruz Marinduque Agriculture and Fisheries profile) the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz, through its Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), proposed an Agricultural Plan aligned with its Vision and Mission to support rural communities. As a branch of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the MAO implements projects and programs that follow the department’s objectives. The municipality is rich in natural resources, with farming and fishing serving as the primary industries and main sources of livelihood for most rural residents.

To empower farmers and fisherfolk, taking into account sustainability and resiliency to increse agri-fishery productivity and profitability.

How to be a registered farmer?
To register as a farmer, you need to submit a filled-out RSBSA form, one (1) copy of a 2x2 ID picture, a photocopy of a valid ID, and either a photocopy of land declaration (for landowners) or a barangay certificate (for tenants).
Can tenants also avail of agricultural services?
Yes. Tenants can avail of agricultural services by registering in the RSBSA and presenting a barangay certificate as proof of farming activity.
Ano ang mga benefits kapag ako ay naging isang registered farmer?
Kapag ikaw ay naging isang registered farmer, marami kang benepisiyo na makukuha o tulong na maari mong makuha mula sa gobyerno at iba't-ibang ahensiya:
1. Access sa mga libreng binhi at patabang pang-agrikultura.
2. Makakakuha ng financial or cash assistance programs o ayuda.3. Makakagamit ng farm equipment at machinery.
4. Maari kang makasali sa mga training at seminar katulad Organic Farming, Smart Farming at Pest Control Techniques.
5. Makakasali sa Insurance Program.6. Maari kang maging priority sa government projects.
